Example of a central core pipe pod for the famous ‘Gherkin’ building in London, constructed by
Skanska Rashleigh Weatherfoil.

Manufactured in sets of 4 for each of 43 floors.

Due to very limited site access these were manufactured and then ‘on installed’ on a JIT Schedule.
The pods were sub-assembled and lifted into position as erection progressed.

Project also included the manufacture and installation of mezzanine floors at penthouse level
to carry air conditioning and other services.
